Cultural and tourism complex of Kish underground city, known as Kariz, is one of the most important tourism attractions of the island which is visited by many tourists every year.
Kariz was a water supply for inhabitants of the island in the past.
The cultural and tourism complex of Kariz is located at intersection of three old aqueducts (which are called Kariz in local language). The aqueducts age more than 2,000 years and are over 15 km long. Their intersection has turned into an amazing underground city which has an area of more than 10,000 square meters.
Cultural and tourism complex of Kish underground city (Kariz) hosts more than 100,000 domestic and foreign tourists per year.
